S0, you are a WordPress Developer?
Then you must have dealt with “troubleshooting”. Be it themes or plugins, problems occur. Sometimes, updates themselves may break things.
As a developer, you will have to troubleshoot things sooner or later. And the 5 plugins that I will mention in this post make troubleshooting quite easy.
- My FTP: Managing files and folders via FTP can be a problem in case you do not have login details for the cPanel! Either you can wait for client to send details or just install this plugin to manage the files and folders easily from within WordPress Dashboard.
- WP-DBManager: After files, we have Database. Database is where all the information is stored by WordPress. And if it gets corrupted, you again have to go screaming for server login details. WP-DBManager can backup or restore database, drop or empty tables and repair or optimize it easily. Without having to go to back-end!
- WP Debug Bar: WP Debug Bar plugin will let you easily see information about your blog and pin point the exact problem with server or your blog.
- Plugin Central: Plugin Central allows you to install multiple plugins quickly and also upgrade them straight from your dashboard. Saves a lot of time if you manage quite a few sites.
- Maintenance Mode: You do not want to make your site redesign public so soon, right? Maintenance Mode plugin can restrict site access and present normal visitors with a helpful page telling to visit later.
These plugins make it easy to troubleshoot and manage WordPress.
Have any plugins in mind that make a developer’s life easier? Do tell via comments. And do not forget to subscribe.

One Comment on "5 Plugins Every WordPress Developer Should Keep Handy"
I love the Fast Secure Contact Form plugin for wordpress when developing a new site! The themes usually have a contact form built in but even the premium themes contact forms are very basic leaving much to be desired. This plugin is a definite must have for me when developing my WP sites.
