My Blog is DO FOLLOW now

Posted on July 16th, 2008 at 5:57 pm

As you may notice my blog do not displays links in the comments, mainly because a lot of comments are post only to get a backlink to commentator site, if someone really wants to contribute something to the discussin then he will do it no matter if he will get something (link) out of this.

However, after some thinking on this topic i decided to add recent comments plugin which will have bold do follow links pointing to your site. I do not know if it will get popular or not and will you start post more comments on this blog, however i think that if someone decides to post comment interesting comment which would add value to then i think that such commentator should be rewarded somehow, i can’t (and won’t) pay for the comments so i guess do follow bold link with your selected anchor text will be satisfying.

On the other hand you may do not like recent comments plugin and prefer top commentator or any other similar plugin if so … post comment in this thread :)

You know that is one of the few and rare posts that you will hear someone delegate a reward for participation, that reward being: “Thanks! Go ahead and leave me your card.”

I think that’s great man, me and others can appreciate that from a marketing point of view.

I’ve read through so many of your postings and learned how to do things for me and my buddies t-shirt business we’re starting up. We aren’t programmers but sites like yours help us along the way! We got OSCommerce php based free shopping cart installed and I’m picking things up as I go. Thanks man. And checkout our progress! http://www.Shenaniguns.com

One nice thing about do follow on a blog is you get new post that help site in search. When search engines see active posting on site they come back more often so it is a win win for both your blog and the people who stop in and post.

    Thanks nice site.

  7. I appreciate the plugin , it helps us small web developers that need do-follow links.

In addition, from my research ads to the content of the blog itself.

speaking of pluging: I see it is dofollow but doesn’t list the url people submit, just the ones they post on the comment textarea ;)

Many people including myself(I’ll force myself to keep it short this time though) have trouble only writing a sentence or two even if all they’re really after is a link. I always try to add somethign relevant even if it is only that link I’m really after. Half of that is because I enjoy writing and contributing to the community and the other to help promote ones own brand. I really think the two go together quite nicely. Props for making the decision, and Thanks.

Good to see the do follow trend continuing. Props to you. I am in the process of changing mine over once I get through all of the spam that has mounted up over the last few months. We did install a spam blocker plug-in to our blog to get rid of the trash that was unrelated. best of luck with your decision.

My blog is fairly new but I was wondering if having the term here on your site will actually bleed any of your PR to my site?

I really do not know how the no-follow tag works as this page of your site has no PR so does it help in this case. I am a little confusing I know but I think I got out what I wanted to say. Thanks for your site.

I also have dofollow enabled on my blog. Some people do make a real attempt to make a good comment even if they don’t seem to have any idea what the subject is about. At least I applaud there effort. Other just write some generic phase. Commenting has gone up so I guess this is good. I don’t approve everybody who posts a comment.

It’s interesting to see just how permeant memory has become in our lives. It seems like everytime I turn my head, I see something with a card slot or USB jack . I guess it makes sense though, considering how much more afforable memory has become as of late…Gahhhh, who am I to complain. I can’t get through a day without using my R4 / R4i!(Posted from SerVo for R4i Nintendo DS.)
