Who is the most spammed person in the world?

Few days i wrote an article about protecting email address with .htaccess, today i stumbled upon interesting news. Collin Wells an UK mechanic revealed that he receives over 44 000 SPAM mail a day that is close to 16 millions a year. Before he started to use ClearMyMail service he spent over 2 hours a day removing unwanted messages, well i guess next time i will receive SPAM i will thank God it is only one message .

Anyway, how it is possible to get such amount of spam? When i first started using internet i posted my email everywhere, i used since and get only few unwanted messages daily, so … 44 000 a day, how it is possible?

Collin decided to fight back spammers, but unfortunately he did in the worst way possible, he sent spam email back to spammers. Terrible idea, because spammers found out that his email is active and they kept sending him even more spam.

Another question that poped to my mind. Why did he decided to reveal this fact now? The guy said that when he installed spam filter in 2007, he realised how much spam he was getting – his words.

Interestingly enough, Collin claims that he misses his daily routine of opening all this emails in his inbox, so i guess those who say you can get addicted to anything are somewhat right.

For a record: since 1999 he received over 31 000 000 spam mails.
